Increase Sales During the Holiday Season by Implementing a Gift Tree at Your Salon

Major retailers are raking it in this time of year, so why aren’t you?

Remind your clients that they can save big at your salon with special holiday promotions. 

One of our favorite ways to spice up your deals and discounts during the holiday season is to put up a gift tree at your salon with all sorts of awesome prizes and presents to choose from.

So, How Do Clients Earn a Gift From the Gift Tree?

The rules are simple. If a client spends a certain $ amount during the month of December, they earn a gift from the gift tree.

This could include anything from travel size products, gift cards, or even gift certificates to neighboring businesses that agree to partner with you for the holidays. The possibilities are endless! 

The key to making this a successful promotion for your salon is to make sure that whatever you decide to give away is enticing enough for clients to consider purchasing more. 

What does this mean? The goal should be to up-sell your clients. Encourage them to take home that extra styling product or upgrade to the liter size for their shampoo and conditioner so that they reach that next level of spending and can choose an item from the gift tree.

Of course, this requires you to crunch some numbers beforehand. Make sure that whatever you decide to give away as a “gifts” won’t break the bank, and then balance it all out by requiring clients to reach a certain dollar amount that will offset any of the loss.

At the end of the day, you could spin this idea in so many ways but the bottom line is, a gift tree is a great way to keep the spirit of the holidays alive at your salon!
